Our efforts to help de-carbonise Mullingar and make it a more energy-efficient community have been recognised, in the form of a nomination for a national award!

We’ve been listed as finalists in the 2023 SEAI Energy Awards, in the ‘Inspirational Sustainable Energy Community’ category. While none of us got into this to win prizes, and less still to be held up as ‘Inspirational’, we’ll gladly accept the recognition – and the award, if the Judges decide in our favour. If the nomination helps to raise our profile and get the word out about our goals, then that’s probably equally important!

We’re up against some very strong contenders, all of whom have made great strides in their own communities and are continuing to show that ‘ordinary’ people can make a big difference when we work together towards a common goal.
